Baby Name Game
Your guests get in on the fun of choosing a baby name with this baby shower game. One at a time, your guests must find a name for every letter of the alphabet.
Names starting with the letters Q, X, Y and Z will be a challenge!
Playing the game:
Arrange guests in a circle. The first guest to start has to yell out a baby name starting with the letter 'A', the second with the letter 'B', and so on. Each guest gets 3 seconds to think of a name. If she goes over 3 seconds, she's eliminated. The last guest standing is the winner.
The hostess will judge whether a baby name is acceptable given the three seconds alloted to each player.
Game preparation:
There is no preparation needed to play the baby name game!
Variations:
Play this name game in reverse! Guests must find a baby name that ends with a letter of the alphabet. For example, the guest with the letter 'A' can choose the name Greta, Samantha, etc.
Suggested prizes:

Baby Food Taste Test
Come on, admit it.. you've eaten baby food before!
Playing the game:
Baby shower guests must guess different baby food flavors. Labels are removed from jars, making this game quite difficult!
Preparation:
Gather several varieties of baby food; fruit, vegetables, meats and desserts. Remove the labels from the jars. Provide each guest with a spoon for each baby food flavor.
Playing the game:
Arrange baby food jars in a line, and have each guest taste each baby food flavor. Each guest writes down her guess for each flavor. The guest with the most correct answers wins.
Suggested prizes:
Treat your winner to some real food. Give the winner a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
Variations:
Play this game using other food items, such as mustard, melted butter, mayonnaise or maple syrup
Baby Animal Name Game
Will your guests know the name for offspring of animals? You're about to find out when you play the 'baby animal name game.'
Playing the game:
The 'baby name game' can be played one of two ways. The hostess can name a type of animal and the competitors can call out the name of the offspring. The hostess keeps track of the correct answers, the one with the most correct animals wins. The game can also be played by having each guest write out the name of the animal offspring on a sheet of paper. The correct answers are tabulated at the end of the game. Guests can compete individually or as a team.
Game preparation:
You'll need the names of the male parent, female parent and their offspring. This should help!

Baby Shower Word Scramble Game
Think your baby shower is going to be about lounging and relaxing? Put your guests to the test with a brain-teasing word scramble.
Playing the game:
Guests are given a list of baby-themed words which have been rearranged and scrambled. Each guest (or group of guests) must figure out what the words are in a given amount of time.
Game preparation:

Baby Shower Bingo
Give classic bingo a baby shower spin!
Playing the game:
Typical bingo rules are followed, but the hostess makes baby-themed bingo cards containing pictures of pregnant bellies, bibs, formula and stuffed animals.
Game preparation:
Baby shower bingo cards are available for purchase online or in some party supply stores.
To create your own baby shower bingo cards, create a 4 x 4 grid (or 5 x 5) on tag or poster board. Use stickers or draw on typical baby items and ideas to fill the cards. Make sure that each card has items displayed in different order.
Provide each guest with a card and bingo chips.
Suggested prizes:
Since there will be multiple winners, prepare a basket filled with prizes such as gum, chocolates, note cards, nail polish and other fun items
The Chug a Lug Game
On your marks.. get set.. Chug a lug!
Playing the game:
Guests compete to chug a baby bottle filled with a drink. First one with an empty bottle wins!
Game preparation:
This game is very easy-prep. Simply purchase enough baby bottles for each guest. Fill each bottle with your choice of drink, or choose from these
- Soda
- Juice
- Warm milk
- Prune juice
- Something sour!
When finished, wash the bottles and give to the mother-to-be.
Suggested prizes:
Give your baby shower game winner a 6-pack of soda or other drink. If kids are on your guest list, award them with an individual juice box.
Guess the Girth
This is your chance to celebrate that beautiful baby bump!
Playing the game:
Guests guess the circumference of the mother-to-be's pregnant belly, Each guest cuts off a piece of yarn to represent her guess for the girth of the belly. The person with the closest guess is the winner.
Game preparation:
Gather a ball of yarn and scissors. Pass the yarn around the room and have each guest cut off the amount she thinks it would take to equal the circumference of the mother-to-be's belly. At the end, each guest wraps her string around the pregnant belly, and the closest size wins.
Suggested prizes:
Give the winning guest a lottery ticket. Maybe she'll continue her lucky streak!
The Poopy Diaper Game
The only time smelling a poopy diaper is considered fun
Playing the game:
Baby diapers are filled with melted chocolate candy bars, making it look just like a poopy diaper. Using their senses of smell and sight, guests must guess what kind of chocolate candy bar fills the dirty diaper.
Game preparation:
Gather 5 or 6 chocolate candy bars (Snickers, Milky Way, Mr. Goodbar, etc.) and melt separately in microwave. Spoon the melted chocolate into baby diapers (real or homemade.) Give each guest a pencil and paper to write down her guess as to what kind of candy bar is in the diaper. The guest with the most correct guesses wins.
Suggested prizes:
Give baby shower game winner an assortment of mini chocolate candy bars.
Get creative with your choice of candy bars. York Peppermint Patties will create minty poo; Mounds bars will create chunky poo, and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups will create a light brown poo.
